1. Baptism in the Holy Ghost

Why it’s important:
This empowers you to live boldly for Christ, grow in spiritual gifts, and have a deeper relationship with God. It’s about receiving power from God to be His witness and walk in victory.

Scriptures:

  • Acts 1:8 – "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me..."

  • Acts 2:4 – "And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

  • Ephesians 5:18 – "Be filled with the Spirit."

2. Water Baptism

Why it’s important:
Water baptism is an outward declaration of your faith in Jesus. It represents dying to your old life and being raised to a new life in Christ. It’s a public act of obedience to Jesus' command.

Scriptures:

  • Matthew 28:19 – "Go therefore and make disciples... baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."

  • Romans 6:4 – "We were buried with Him through baptism into death... that we also should walk in newness of life."

  • Acts 2:38 – "Repent and be baptized... in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins."

3. Regular Church Attendance

Why it’s important:
Church is where you grow through teaching, fellowship, worship, and encouragement. You weren’t meant to do the Christian life alone.

Scriptures:

  • Hebrews 10:25 – "Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another..."

  • Acts 2:42 – "They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship..."

  • Ephesians 4:11–12 – God gave pastors and teachers to equip believers for growth and maturity.

4. Regular Bible Reading

Why it’s important:
God’s Word is spiritual food. It teaches you who God is, how to live, and strengthens your faith.

Scriptures:

  • 2 Timothy 3:16–17 – "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God... that the man of God may be complete..."

  • Joshua 1:8 – "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth... then you will have good success."

  • Psalm 119:105 – "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."

5. Regular Prayer Life

Why it’s important:
Prayer is how you talk to God, grow closer to Him, and receive direction, strength, and peace. It's vital for relationship and spiritual strength.

Scriptures:

  • 1 Thessalonians 5:17 – "Pray without ceasing."

  • Matthew 6:6 – "When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father..."

  • Philippians 4:6–7 – "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer... let your requests be made known to God."

6. Receive your Healing

Why it’s important:
Jesus not only forgave sins, but also healed sickness; it's a complete package! Healing is part of your inheritance as a believer. It’s for you and can flow through you to others.

Scriptures:

  • Isaiah 53:5 – "By His stripes we are healed."

  • Matthew 8:17 – "...He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses."

  • Mark 16:17–18 – "They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

7. Giving

Why it’s important:
Giving shows your trust in God as your source. It keeps your heart free from greed, and it positions you to receive God’s abundant provision and blessing.

Scriptures:

  • Luke 6:38 – "Give, and it will be given to you..."

  • 2 Corinthians 9:6–8 – "God loves a cheerful giver..."

  • Proverbs 3:9–10 – "Honor the Lord with your possessions..."

8. Soul-Winning / Evangelism

Why it’s important:
Sharing the Gospel is every believer’s responsibility. You are called to help others know Jesus and receive eternal life. It brings great joy to heaven—and to you!

Scriptures:

  • Mark 16:15 – "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."

  • Proverbs 11:30 – "He who wins souls is wise."

  • Romans 10:14–15 – "How shall they hear without a preacher?"

As you walk in these steps, you will grow in faith, joy, power, and purpose. This isn’t about religion—it’s about a relationship with a living God who wants to transform your life and use you to impact others.
